Roast Style: Progressive

These tend to be lighter bodied coffees, that forefront flavour nuances inherent to the specific bean. These coffees tend to have natural sweetness and distinctive aromatic properties.

As a general guide, they'll be great brewed using any filter method. We'd recommend trying them black.

Roaster's Notes

Carefully roasted to celebrate its renowned origin character, this naturally processed Geisha delivers exceptional clarity and depth. A short roast profile preserves the lot’s vibrant acidity, with a silky mouthfeel, layered tropical and stone fruit notes, and refined candy sweetness, unfolding into a clean, lingering finish.

COFFEE ORIGIN INFO

In 2004, Hacienda La Esmeralda’s Geisha first captured the world’s attention, redefining the possibilities of specialty coffee. Today, the Peterson family continues to build on this pioneering heritage, carefully cultivating and processing very small micro-lots (often just a few hundred kilograms) with meticulous attention to detail at every stage. This lot comes from Jaramillo, one of the estate’s prestigious farms, where the high elevation, fertile volcanic soils, and a cool, misty microclimate create the ideal environment for the Geisha variety.
