Passionate, attentive to detail, natural-born leader, all ways that we can describe Sharon Muto, cafe manager of Rosetta's Silo Branch.
In today's blog Muto tells us why she's still #teamRosetta after four years and how she does all this while excelling as a mum of two!
ROSETTA: Introduce yourself to us and tell us what you do at Rosetta / how long have you been working there?
SHARON: I'm Sharon Muto, Cafe manager at Rosetta Silo Branch; I've been with Rosetta for 4 years now. I'm originally from Zimbabwe.
ROSETTA: What are some of the best things about being a part of the Rosetta team?
SHARON: Rosetta has a unique team that's so passionate about what they do and very attentive to detail; they challenge me to grow in so many ways, as a person, as a leader and intellectually.
ROSETTA: Do you have any other passions, hobbies, special skills? Are you a parent? We want to know about your life outside your current job!
SHARON: I love reading and learning new things as well as sharing information (skill transference). I'm not much of an outdoor person. I enjoy my own company a lot (when I'm not working) and spending time with my family. I'm a qualified teacher, married to my high school sweetheart and a mom of 2 beautiful girls.
ROSETTA: Has the pursuit of excellence in one passion helped you to pursue excellence in another? And if so, how so? For example, "the pursuit of excellence in coffee has taught me how to be excellent in my other work because…."
SHARON: Yes... The pursuit for excellence in teaching taught me how to co-exist within a team with strong personalities and different people from different backgrounds and all walks of life. It equipped me with the ability to absorb information and translate it. To serve as a Rosetta barista and effectively fulfil the company's vision, you need to be hungry for coffee information (accurate information) and articulate it clearly to the customer. This is a skill that I acquired during the time I served as a teacher.
