Floral aromas, silky, ripe apricot & tropical fruit
Washed Ethiopian coffees are coveted by roasters and coffee aficionados alike for their exceptionally unique regional flavour profile.
A key attribute of what makes these washed specialty lots prized can frequently be overlooked: a remarkable clarity of flavour! Naturally processed Ethiopian coffees can exhibit amazing complexity, ripe fruit and pungent aromatic though often this can be accompanied by a more muddled character - making it difficult to pinpoint specific flavour notes.
We can happily say our natural lot from the Danche Washing Station is an exception to the norm. Brewing factors like filtration and grind setting can greatly influence beverage clarity but the linchpin is meticulous processing and terroir. We recommend enjoying the Danche as a filter brew. The short roast profile in conjunction with this coffee’s innate silky body, allows the structure and cleanliness of the lot to shine.
